Frequently Asked Questions

  • How are the Animal Instruments organized?
The animal instruments are organized by species and/or type of sounds - birds, frogs, insects, land animals, sea creatures, sound effects, and nature sounds.
  • Will the animals sound as perfect as musical instruments?
Please be aware that musical imperfections in this library are the nature of the beast. This is a different kind of library. Many animals may lack consistencies in pitch, timbre, and vocalization. The animals may not be as perfect as human musical instruments (these animals did not take music lessons). One should avoid making comparisons with standard musical instruments.
  • Why do I need the full Kontakt and not the Kontakt Player?
You’ll need the full version of Kontakt, version 5.8.1 or above. Symphony of Animals does not work in the free Kontakt Player. The advantages in making this library for full Kontakt is that you don’t need a serial number and it is easier to install. It’s ready to go as soon as you load it and you can use it on any computers you have Kontakt installed. If there is a demand for a Kontakt Player version, we will look into making it! Please let us know via the Contact Form if this is something you are interested in.
  • How do I load Symphony of Animals into full Kontakt?
You need to have the full version of Kontakt installed (version 5.8.1 or later) or the library won't work. After downloading the library, unzip the files. Once uncompressed, you can use the “File” menu button located in the top center of Kontakt's interface, and then click the 'Load' option, which opens a dialog box to navigate to the instrument you want to load. Another option is to drag the Kontakt patch from Finder or Windows Explorer directly into Kontakt's window. Also, the Quick Load feature is a another alternative, allowing you to organize your sample libraries all in one easily accessible place. Please refer to the Native Instruments Kontakt manual for more information. Here is a link -> https://www.native-instruments.com/ni-tech-manuals/kontakt-manual/en/index-en.html
  • Is there a Manual?
Each animal patch has its own User Interface which provides animal information, the specific controls used and some playing tips to coax the best musicality for each animal. For operation of full Kontakt please refer to the Native Instrument Kontakt manual. Here is a link -> https://www.native-instruments.com/ni-tech-manuals/kontakt-manual/en/index-en.html
  • Can I install Symphony of Animals on multiple computers?
You are licensed for two installs of the library on any computer you own that has a current, valid Native Instruments Kontakt license. Please contact us if you would like group or volume license for multiple computers.
  • Can I use the libraries in commercial works?
Definitely! As long as you aren't reselling the samples or sound files themselves, in any form, you are free to use the sample libraries in any commercial or creative work, such as TV, film, albums, video games, etc.
  • What if I need to re-download products I've purchased?
Just contact us an we'll send you a link to re-download.
  • What payment methods do you offer?
We try and make payment as easy as possible. You can pay online via card or PayPal using our secure payments provider. Please email us if you have any problems when making a payment.
  • What is your refund policy?
Refunds are only allowed for sample libraries purchased within 30 days that have NOT been downloaded. After downloading Symphony of Animals, your order is no longer refundable.
  • Do you offer physical boxed versions of Symphony of Animals?
We do not offer a physical boxed version of the library at this time (this could change in the future). It is only available now as a digital download. Your download is available instantly after your payment is processed.
  • Will there be more Symphony of Animal libraries in the future?
Symphony of Animals Volume 2 is in the works. We have plenty more animal sounds including more birds, amphibians, land animals, sea creatures, sound effects and nature sounds (see bottom of home page for a partial list). Let us know if you have a particular animal you would like to be made musical and we'll consider it for future libraries. We may also consider doing a Kontakt Player version.
